the tone adds very little change but big change on high volume. this goes for people who's never tried peavey amps. On a side note**talking about big sound** when my mates come over for jam, I noticed them testing the valveking and ajdusting the EQ but never adjusting the damp controls. I was wondering on how I can improve it more:D Its got celestion vintage 30s and it works like magic.

I tested one at the shop and it seems different. The topology of the phase inverter remained a standard part of later AC15. Saying this, would i need to change the output tubes or can it stay the way it is? (mainly because I dont want to spend money on the output tubes) its got the Ruby 6l6 output i think. In the preamp of the Normal channel, the main driver valve (V1) is an ECC83. There are three primary places that clipping occurs in a tube amp: the preamp tubes, the phase inverter and the power tube plates. V3 Phase Inverter Sovtek 12AX7LPS Large Plate Spiral Filament

The first combination, as far as i know, sounds good since my mate has it and mix it with a nice distortion (instead of overdrive) to boost the distortion I have 3 combinations in mind but not sure what the best sound is V3 Phase Inverter positioned close to power tubes I think those are the noise cancelling tubes and apparently they're good for high gain amps?

I was thinking of changing the tubes to EHX 12AX7 and 2x JJ ecc83s Hey guys! I was thinking of upgrading the preamp tubes of my VK100 just for the sake of it.
